Wyoming Tax Power of Attorney (Form 2848)

The Wyoming Tax Power of Attorney (Form 2848) is a federal form provided by the Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that residents in Wyoming can use to make a request to the Department to recognize their desired Representative. The Representative is the name given to the party that the taxpayer has selected to stand in their place before the Department. Once the Department recognizes the Representative, they will be authorized to carry out particular tasks on behalf of the taxpayer that have been listed in the form. For example, the Representative may assist the taxpayer to organize and file various types of tax such as income, employment, and payroll tax.
