Utah Durable (Statutory) Power of Attorney Form
The Utah Durable (Statutory) Power of Attorney is a legal instrument that is prepared by an individual who wants to make a legal arrangement that will endure even in the event of their incapacity. The legal arrangement that this particular document outlines is that between the individual (who is referred to as the Principal) and another party who they have selected to manage their affairs in their absence (an individual or entity who is referred to as their Agent). The Agent will be able to “step in” for the Principal any time one or more of the circumstances that are noted in the document arise. This arrangement not strip any rights from the Principal, however. The Principal will retain full rights to act on their own behalf whenever they wish to, so long as they are in a capable state at the time.
