Nevada Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney (Form VP136)

The Nevada Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney (Form VP136) makes it legally feasible for a motor vehicle owner to appoint an Attorney in Fact to sign, in their name, place, and stead, any documents  issued by the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles or by the equivalent department of another state. The authority and decision making powers granted to the Attorney in Fact allow them to act in “whatever manner necessary” to:

  • Transfer any Registration Certificate and/or
  • Secure, transfer, and/or release any Certificate of Title.

Signing Requirements – The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles requires:

  • The signature of the person granting Power of Attorney,
  • The signature of a Notary Public or Authorized Nevada DMV Representative signature, and
  • The stamp of a Notary Public.
