Mississippi Real Estate (Property) Power of Attorney Form

The Mississippi Real Estate Power of Attorney is a document that only focuses on Power of Attorney arrangements related to real estate transactions. In such an arrangement, an individual (called the Principal) will organize for another party (their Agent) to take charge of one or more real estate affairs they, for whatever reason, cannot handle all on their own. The Principal must ensure the form contains relevant legally-binding provisions for the Agent to follow when fulfilling any duties on the their behalf.

State Laws & Signing Requirements

State Laws – Powers and Letters of Attorney

Signing Requirements – Given the fact that in the state of Mississippi, there are no signing requirements that must be met in order to execute a Real Estate POA, the Principal is urged to take the following recommendations on board:

  1. Sign the Power of Attorney,
  2. Ask two (2) disinterested witnesses witness the signing, and
  3. Ensure the form is acknowledged by a Notary Public.
