Alabama State Tax Power of Attorney (Form 2848A)


The Alabama State Tax Power of Attorney (Form 2848A) allows taxpayers to be represented by a tax preparer, attorney, CPA, or another professional to have their taxes filed for them. Tax information is deemed as private by Alabama’s government and can only be authorized for use by a third party if granted by the owner of the information; the 2848A Form having this specific purpose. The Alabama provision § 26-1A-216 contains the specific tax-matters that Agents are given the power to manage so long general authority has been granted by the Principal.
