North Carolina Roommate Agreement

The North Carolina Roommate Agreement will tie the co-tenants to a contract that, while not legally binding for the majority of rules, answers in writing many of the questions that roommates may have at the moment, and many that wouldn’t be at the forefront of their minds. Attempting to set responsibilities of the co-habitants without a written document can go awry fast, as the division of labor within the rental can be seen as non-official. Because of this, requiring every roommate to provide their signature onto the agreement is highly advised.
