Montana Sublease Agreement

The Montana Sublease Agreement establishes in writing an agreement in which an individual moves into an already-rented apartment or home, making rental payments to the original tenant instead of the landlord who manages the property. This allows tenants to live somewhere else without paying rent for a vacant apartment or home. Before subleasing can begin, Montana law (§ 70-24-305) requires tenants to receive written consent by an individual entrusted with managing the property.
