Maryland Sublease Agreement

The Maryland Sublease Agreement provides as the base rules and instructions required of an individual who will be residing in a leased property in place of the original tenant. The agreement exists solely between the original tenant (the sublessor) and the new tenant (the sublessee). While the sublessor should check their lease and / or speak with the landlord to confirm subleasing is indeed permitted, the agreement itself does not require the landlord’s input or signature. Typically, the sublease will stay in effect until the original lease’s expiration, although any length of time can be agreed upon.
