Illinois Standard Residential Lease Agreement

The Illinois Standard Residential Lease Agreement serves as the most common type of rental agreement entered into, binding renters and landlords into an average one (1) year contract that requires tenants make monthly payments to the landlord in exchange for the right to live in the space. For the duration of the lease, the landlord is barred from changing conditions contained within the contract, and the tenant cannot refuse to make payments (regardless if they are living in the property or not).
