Illinois Month-to-Month Lease Agreement
The Illinois Month-to-Month Lease Agreement is a flexible, short-term contract in which a tenant leases a property from a landlord with no set end-date. Either party can terminate the agreement with short notice. To some renters, the non-binding nature of the agreement is preferred, allowing for extended vacations or temporary housing for those in the process of building a home.
Month-to-Month Notice Requirements (735 ILCS 5/9-207) – Landlord & Tenant can terminate the lease with thirty (30) days’ notice.
